The well-known budget grocery chain, Aldi, is joining forces with the UK National Lottery’s administrator, Camelot, to provide lottery tickets in each of its 900 UK locations.

Beginning in the following month, consumers can purchase their lottery tickets, encompassing Lotto, EuroMillions, Set For Life, and Thunderball, directly at the checkout line. This rollout comes after a successful pilot program in Aldi stores throughout northern England.

“This collaboration will provide our patrons with an opportunity to test their fortune on the National Lottery while completing their grocery purchases,” stated Richard Thornton, Communications Director at Aldi UK. “We aspire to bring a touch of lottery fortune to Aldi customers nationwide.”

Lottery tickets will be accessible in Aldi stores across the country by the conclusion of June 2021.

Jenny Blogg, Retail Director at Camelot, remarked: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Aldi. Making National Lottery games accessible in their outlets has been a primary goal for us, as it further simplifies participation for individuals. We are certain this will be a mutually beneficial association for both Aldi shoppers and National Lottery participants.”
