The Global Betting Integrity Association (GBIA) has declared that Bingoal, a Belgian retailer and online gaming operator, has joined their organization.

Bingoal will link its sports wagering operations with GBIA’s worldwide betting integrity monitoring and warning platform. They will share questionable betting data and information with other GBIA members.

Bingoal is the fifth new member to join the GBIA in 2020, following five new members in 2019.

Bingoal CEO Joeri Impens stated, “As a responsible business, Bingoal acknowledges that maintaining the integrity of our sports betting products is a key pillar of our commitment to protecting our customers and the sports we market.”

GBIA CEO Khalid Ali added, “Bingoal brings a blend of retail and online intelligence, the former often disregarded in the broader integrity data collection discussion.

“It’s fantastic to see responsible operators like Bingoal continue to recognize the significance of integrity and view GBIA as their preferred partner.”

Last week, the GBIA revealed that suspicious betting alerts in the third quarter were up 52% year-on-year, with soccer and tennis accounting for two-thirds of the total cases.

During the three-month period concluding on September 30th, the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) detected 76 dubious wagering signals. This represents a 50% surge compared to the same timeframe in the previous year and a 31% rise from the second quarter of 2020.

Thus far in the current year, IBIA has accumulated 195 suspicious betting alerts stemming from global sporting events.

Last month, IBIA also unveiled a collection of guidelines governing agreements for the gathering of sports data for wagering purposes.

IBIA stated that these standards are intended to guarantee that all data is accurate, dependable, transparent, and procured responsibly. This minimizes risk and ensures data compilation in a manner that safeguards against criminal activity or improper conduct.
