FortuitousCrypto has been instructed to depart from the Swedish marketplace. The Swedish gaming watchdog, Spelinspektionen, determined that FortuitousCrypto was operating within Sweden without a permit.
The watchdog stated they scrutinized FortuitousCrypto’s online presence after they suspected that the enterprise, SG International NV, was providing games to Swedish citizens without the necessary authorizations.
They discovered that FortuitousCrypto had information in Swedish, its regulations were in Swedish, and its promotional efforts were targeted at Swedish consumers. Swedish citizens were also permitted to register on the website.
The company, headquartered in Curacao, was granted an opportunity to provide an explanation to Spelinspektionen, but they failed to respond.
Consequently, the watchdog added FortuitousCrypto to its list of illicit websites.
This marks the initial step in the watchdog’s strategy to halt companies from operating without licenses. If FortuitousCrypto does not withdraw from the market, they will be penalized. If that proves ineffective, the watchdog will contact law enforcement.
In September, Selinspektionen informed Ease Gaming NV, the enterprise that manages Casineia.com, also situated in Curacao, to exit the Swedish market.
Swedish officials abandoned a proposal in June that would have permitted them to prohibit all unauthorized offshore gambling websites, irrespective of whether they were specifically targeting Swedish customers.
